The Magic Roundabout

Dang it! Last weeks interview was a bust! Bah! But had another today with a recruitment agency and hopefully i'll get an interview with the employer in the next couple of days. They do the outsourcing for the customer service for an "Australian automotive icon" Sorry Timmay it's the enemy! Though Mrs Biggs and Mr & Mrs Fish would think it's cool. We can but sit and fucking wait!
Went and saw a band tonight who were looking for a bass player. The guitarist/songwriter was an absolute gun! He could really write some damn good tunes - think At the Drive-in crossed with the Strokes! Unfortunately he was no great shakes as a singer. I declined to join the band, it just didn't feel right for me. I did give the guitarist a few bits of advice though, and he really appreciated it! I also told him I was jealous of his ability - he was only 21!! Oh to be 21 again and with that level of songwriting! I do have another iron in the fire re another band. They're having trouble with their bass player and are thinking of giving him the boot. They'll be playing a gig in a couple of weeks, so i'll duck in and check 'em out. Maybe this time.
My parents have been and gone, it was cool, though mum was sad to be leaving. I did save them from a divorce though - I convinced my father to buy a gps for the car - in her own admission mum can't read a map to save her life. Mum's happy and dad's happy - it also helps that he loves gadgets.
